There are so many good deals this time of year - here are a few I picked up for me!

Both of these are excellent for dry skin any where - I use these as soon as I get out of the shower.
The JM is scented hollyberies - a nice fresh fragrance.

This stick eye shadow from Mally in Chocolate Diamond is a lovely color and easy to use.

This is not too sparkly - just a soft shimmer - a quick way to add depth to the crease.  Applies smoothly and stays put!

I am so in love with this eye shadow palette:  Tarte - Limited-Edition Buried Treasure Eyeshadow Palette - Rainforest of the Sea Collection

  These colors are gorgeous and I would definitely use all of these (eventually!). Only 3 shades are matte - the others have shimmer in them - maybe more than I typically like but the colors are just irresistible.

I just adored Radiant Orchid from 2014 and continue to enjoy this color.



What do you think - is this a color you will incorporate into your life style?  I can easily see this in various shades of eye shadow and nail polish.

I have wanted these for a while so I treated myself ~ an initial necklace with the grandchildren's initials.  I know I will enjoy this forever!

 
I am going with the same outfit as last year for Christmas dinner- I have had a virus for 2 weeks and do not have the where-with-all to be creative!  This is quick and easy.

 Mules are one of my favorite style of shoes but I normally only use these for the holidays.

My heart has been stolen by 2 new perfumes!!  Tom Ford's Black Orchid and Nest's Black Tulip are just beyond wonderful!  TF  is an exotic, warm spice & sensual with rich & dark scents of black orchids  ~ has a nice longevity.  It is a lovely floral and perfect for winter.

Black tulip is warm & sensual with a musky undertone but still sweet - nothing artificial  ~ wish it would last  longer - but I don't care ~ it gives me a reason to add fragrance throughout the day!  It is a wonderful floral and fabulous for fall & winter.
When I use intense full-bodied fragrance I apply unscented argan body butter before applying my perfume so there is no clash or diluting of the scent.

The first snow fall for the NC mountains!!  So glad I did not have to go out as the roads have not been cleared in 2 days!

This is short my dears as I have a virus and cannot overcome the nausea even with crackers & ginger ale so the Dr sent a medication to control it.  At least it is not the week of Christmas as there is still much to do when I can stay up-right for more than an hour!

I recently tried Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Lip Oil Duo:

I love this stuff!! With 100% argan oil it is very moisturizing with a slight scent of honey - it dissipates quickly.  I plan to buy more so every purse has one!

 Still love these hair products by Frederic Fekkai!  The mousse smells wonderful.

I bought a small bottle of Jimmy Choo perfume and have enjoyed the fragrance.  It is a nice floral scent but not as intense as Flowerbomb which has been a long time favorite and I keep a supply on  hand at all times!

I hope this is enough perfume to last the upcoming year!!!!

Laura Geller has a Color Optics Color Correcting Finishing Powder that I really like:

 I tend to have redness on my face and this tones it down without looking chalky.

 I also bought her eye shadow in Forest Mist:

I don't use a lot of green but this has a great variety of colors for the entire eye.

Of course, this will not stop me from buying more mascara!!!

A winter sangria is a lovely wine to serve during the holidays and very simple to make.  I use a red wine and add sliced lemons, grapes, apples/pears, touch of cinnamon, TBS brown sugar, couple ounces of orange liqueur and spiced rum.  I chill the pitcher in the refrig for several hours and serve over ice.

An excellent way to clean things - a paint bush!  It is great for tufted furniture and lamp shades.

My beloved grands were here for the weekend so I think 'Santa' has everything he needs for Christmas!  Now to get it all wrapped - only 27 days until the big day!

I am enjoying hair products from Frederic Fekkai:

The Shear Shape styling mousse has a lovely scent and does not cause stiffness or stickiness.  The Glossing spray is new to me and adds a nice sheen without being sparkly but I still need hair spray to maintain the shape.
And while I was loading up I also bought the hair mist:

 This is a very light floral scent that even a migraineur can tolerate.  I just don't feel dressed until I have added perfume.

I am so glad I tried Algenist Sublime Defense Anti-Aging Blurring Moisturizer

It is an excellent moisturizer with SPF30 - not sticky or heavy.  I tend not to use SPF in the winter and I definitely should so this helps me save a step.

Finally all the silver is polished and looking respectful!  I normally use this tray for hors d'oeuvres - but line the bottom with lettuce leaves ~ it looks nice and protects the silver and the food from each other.

Have you started the holiday decorating?  The tree is up but not nearly finished.  I wanted to double the amount of lights so that is a work in progress.  The grand children will be here this weekend and they love to help decorate so I am ready for them.

I am still loving MAC cosmetics and do love these shades of purple.
They can easily do a day or night time look:

                                      I have always been fond of these colors for green eyes.

I am also using MAC Zoom Mascara ~ this gives nice definition and full coverage.

I have added a new-to-me lip balm that is very nice. FOUND Lip Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm - Poppy Kiss

The color does look dark but it is not - very sheer color and moisturizing ( 98% Natural Murumuru Butter) - which makes it perfect for around the house or keep in a pocket.  There is no taste or fragrance, which I prefer.

These are in my current rotation of hair products:

 I like Bed Head hair spray and the Fiber Fill mousse & tousle spray are great before blow drying - no stiffness.

Lovelies it is time to get the jewelry clean for the holidays - esp pieces that you do not wear every day.  Please don't use anything too caustic - it will eat the metal off.
I have been happy with with a coconut cleaner - no strong smell and not harsh to the skin (though I do wear rubber gloves to protect my manicure).

When holiday candy is on sale I buy what I like !!!!
