I send my best to all of you.
I much prefer my new bareMinerals "The Bare Sensuals" 14.0 palette over the QVC: bareMinerals The Bare Metals Ready Eyeshadows.  I am not crazy about metallics esp if they are super shiny.  These are my colors!
I have sensitive skin and have been able to use bareMinerals without any problems.  Included is a diagram for placing the shadows for different looks & a double ended brush.
The colors are:
TOP:   New Exposed    Fortune   Shazam   Cloud Nine   Lure   Persuasion   Catalyst
BOTTOM:  Hard to Get   Indulge   Waltz   Hot Spell   Mystify   New Ensemble   New Upgrade
(click on the pics and they should get larger) - so beautiful!

I received a sample of this fragrance and it is very nice.  Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum is floral and intense enough for me to use during an evening out.  The bottle is pretty and will look lovely sitting on the vanity.  Have you tried it?

For the past couple of months everyone was going crazy for Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee - to the point of being sold out.  I think I got the last one Nordstrom had.
It is limited edition but surely it will come back in stock (though my local Macy's does not have any).  It gives a lovely golden sheen and you can build this highlighter - I took off the top layer so there is a little less shimmer but still very luminous.  This will easily last all summer long.
I think this will be appropriate for most skin types.  I admit to collecting everything in the Bronze Goddess collection even if I don't use the items frequently - if I missed out on something new I would kick myself!
Here are some of the other items from the Bronze Goddess collection that I keep on hand:
Do you have a collection that is a must have?

Since I am on a bronzer kick, I tried Tarte Brazilliance Face bronzing towelettes.
My skin was not so happy with this but the color was true the next day and lasted several days.  I was able to go without make up (just to the grocery store!).

Now that summer is here (in the South!!) I must have salsa!  As a matter of fact, as I enter my favorite restaurant, "my" waitress  immediately brings over their famous chips n' salsa - so I don't have to wait! - she has me completely spoiled  - and her devotion is rewarded!
I always want flavor in my salsa, not just heat.  The flavor should never be over-shadowed by intense heat.  I am always tweaking my mixtures and I want the fresh vegetables to be apparent - though I use canned tomatoes - you can't get thru winter without salsa!
This recipe might be worth a try:

If I have not commented on your blog, it is many times because the comment section requires the reader to sign up to respond.  I have tried responding by email but it does not always work.  I try to protect myself from additional spam - though I know a beauty blogger would not do that to another blogger - not everyone is so kind so I am cautious about public display of my email.  I recently signed up to a major dept store and within 2 days I had outrageous amounts of spam - not a happy camper!

InStyle magazine acknowledges what we all know - pink is in! (from this month's issue)

I have read that you should not wear eye shadow that is the color of your eyes.  But I could not help pick up these greens - since it is the color of the year.
These are the products I used - the base is much lighter than what it appears after 4 hours of wear:
It's not bad but............???
I do so love the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection and got this eye shadow palette - it's so pretty I have not used it !!!!!!!!!!
The tan/brown colors can be used for bronzing & contouring ~ the colors can be mixed together to create a custom look - besides using as eye shadow color - a double-ended brush is included.  I love multi purpose products!

I collect floral plates and found these - so pretty!  Spode designs are some of my favorites.

Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder is a lovely highlighter that is not over the top.  I used Golden Hour and it gave a soft sheen that is nice for all year - no blinding sparkles!  Many people are using this for a setting powder - I plan to use this before I apply bronzer.
This just needs a brush to buff over the skin - the cheek bones, brow bone, a little down the front of the neck.  This will last because you don't need a lot.

I enjoy visiting other blogs and recently read some beauty blogs that are new to me.  I was so surprised at the lack of visuals.  I was esp stunned to see just stock photos of products that they like and stated had used.  I wondered why they did not show the items in natural light, in the home.  There were no photos of them using the product or color swatches, all of which would be helpful.

If you like Starbucks coffee/lattes, I recently found this in the grocery store and it is good!  I would not spend $5 for 1 coffee (I have make up to buy!!)
This is the mocha latte with 6 servings.  Normal price is $9.99 but it has been on sale for $6.99 - so only about $1 a serving!  It is not so strong as to give you the shakes but it is a wonderful refreshment in the morning.  Sometimes I take my large mug and go back to bed and listen to the news before I start the day.  You should treat yourself whenever possible!

I hope you had a nice Mother's Day or just a good day whether you are a Mom or not - us women deserve good days!  I had roasted chicken, 'smashed' red potatoes and other sides.  Funny cards from the grands and white roses from my son (an only child).
And there is always chocolate!

When you get a chance, stop by Beverly's blog - she very kindly featured me this week:
You will love her gorgeous home!

Garnier Whole Blends has created 5-in-1 Lightweight Spray and it is wonderful!
This light formula contains Green Apple & Green Tea and will help condition the hair.
With my shorter hair, it just needs a few spritzes on the top and then comb thru to the ends. The shine was great!  I will be able to forgo  conditioner, which saves a step in the morning.  So glad I tried this leave-in conditioner!
Another shine product from this company is Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray from Garnier.  I have used this for several years and it is good.  It's sprayed on the hair after styling and gives instant shine without a greasy look. With  my hair color, it is hard to see shine because there is no color to reflect light.  I love this stuff and keep back-ups so I do not run out!

I have been using this bareMinerals Brilllant Future for a month and everything is positive.  This is considered a corrective and there are good ingredients in this and has been no problem for my sensitive skin.  I use it in the morning and it sinks in quickly with no strong fragrance.  Afterwards, I apply moisturizer which has SPF.
                                                   Benefits of  this anti-aging serum
Vit C (time released)   Mineral manganese   Chai hu extract   Renews radiance    combats the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles
An eye dropper is used to dispense the product which helps control the amount used = no waste!
Have you added any new products to your beauty regime?

I did not eat egg salad growing up but recently tried a simple recipe and liked it!
I boiled 6 eggs and chopped them up after peeling.  I added mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, dill pickle relish, salt & pepper, a little onion and mixed together.  I am not much of a sandwich person so I served with crackers.  It was good and very easy to make.

In my most recent make up order, I included some bronzers - for the face & body.  I do love Laura Geller's Baked Body Frosting bronzer for my face & neck.  Included was a powder puff but I use a brush.  It gives a nice color without going orange.
Since I had 20% off my total purchase, I went ahead and ordered a back-up - I still want to look good during the Apocalypse!
I also like to keep spray-on bronzer on hand and so tried this:
It has some SPF and gives color instantly without being oily.
This pic shows 2 applications on my arm - very easy to build the color you want.

Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara by Urban Decay is not strong enough for me.  I did not get the length and volume that I want.  It did slowly wear off without irritating my eyes but I will not re-purchase this.

Someone mentioned they liked Ulta's Rose Gold Natural Eyeshadow Palette which I have had for a while and use occasionally.  The colors are:
 Champagne: light golden tan
Pink: light pink shimmer
Hopeless Romantic: medium mauve with silver shimmer
Chandelier: medium brown with golden shimmer
Luxe: deep reddish brown with pink shimmer
Dahlia: deep plum with pink glitter
Prosecco: light cream matte
Bubbles: light pink matte
Breathless: medium mauve matte
Dessert: deep cool brown matte
Sweetheart: deep rich reddish brown matte
Orchid: deep violet matte
I enjoy this color palette - it does have a little dust but it goes on smoothly and feels soft.  At this price point (goes on sale frequently) if I drop this I won't swear!

I did not know dumpster diving for cosmetics was a thing!!!  Just writing this gives me the creepy-crawlies and even more so when I saw the news report!  There is nothing I want that badly.  The sad part is that they are selling items and probably not disclosing where the products came from.  This would explain how high end products are on auction sites selling below wholesale.  I only purchase items from stores with good return policies.  Please be careful!
