I have to admit I currently love Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara:
I like the travel size because it will not dry out before it's finished - and if it gets lost I won't flip out.
It's not overly wet and truly coats each lash - definitely worth the price.

This is finally back in stock and on its way to me!
Sephora Favorites " Glow For It "
We will review next time - but I can say it is worth the price as  Lancome Glow Subtil Silky Creme Highlighter is $30! - the cost of the entire set!!!  It is considered 'limited edition' and has sold out once already.

 This set contains:
- 0.68 oz/ 20 mL Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Moonstone
- 0.08 oz/ 2.5 g Benefit Cosmetics Watt's Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter in Champagne
- 0.10 oz/ 3 mL Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in C+ Lemongrass - Radiance
- 0.049 oz/ 1.4 g Hourglass Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powder in Incandescent Strobe Light
- 0.14 oz/ 3.9 g Lancôme Glow Subtil Silky Crème Highlighter in Glowing Lights 06
- 0.1 oz/ 3.4 mL MILK MAKEUP Sunshine Oil

Can't wait for it to arrive!

Since my last order with Ulta was over $50, I received this Becca 4 piece gift set that included:
Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Opal
Under eye Brightening Corrector
Backlight Priming Filter
Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Opal
The under eye brightener is a soft pinkish color and perfect for hiding darkness beneath the eyes.  This went on smoothly and quickly - very soft texture.
The Shimmering Skin Perfector Creme Opal has a bronze color and will be lovely on the cheeks.
The Backlight Priming Filter Base is sheer & soft and just a small amount will be enough.  These are all sheer and moist and since they are new to me it will be fun to try these different highlighters that can be used all year.

The new Too Faced  Christmas in New York Grande Hotel Cafe is here and it is lovely!
Peppermint Mocha Palette by Too Faced - these are my colors!
It really does smell like peppermint & mocha!!  The set contains 3 different palettes and a deluxe size mascara.
I will show the individual pieces next time - they smell wonderful and would make perfect gifts.
  • Have you  read Vogue's remarks about bloggers?
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3809981/A-stylish-showdown-Vogue-editors-aim-pathetic-bloggers-sit-row-Fashion-Week-scathing-article-branding-online-stars-desperate-embarrassing.html
Apparently they consider many bloggers to be 'pathetic' - wow - that's uppity!
I had already decided to cancel my subscription since I consider many of the outfits they showcase to be irrelevant to my life - so now I have an additional reason not to renew.
But by the way, my age group is the fastest growing segment of society and our dollars spend very well - somewhere else!

    Please note:
I want those of you that purchase make up on auction sites to be very careful.
My friend was an executive with a major cosmetic company and had to leave to care for her  mother.  She had access to various over-runs and items that were discontinued.  She sold some on a bidding site and always clearly stated there were no returns - who wants used make up??!!!
2 weeks after an item sold the buyer wanted her money back, even though she stated she used the product repeatedly.
As unbelievable as it sounds the site gave her money back even with pictures showing how much of the product she had used (apparently, daily!!).
Please be careful - being the honest person she is, of course my friend threw the product out but I am sure not everyone is so trustworthy.  Do not risk the health of your skin.  If something just does not look right, return it.  Examine every purchase to be sure it is safe - look for brush strokes or finger prints on powdered products  -  afterall, how many people can actually sell a $50 product for $9.99 unless they are terribly desperate for money - or the product is fake.

Here is a good read about copy cat make up.

    Stay safe!

      Pink isn't just a color ~ it's an attitude!

  1. that sephora set looks like such a great deal! I love the benefit watts up highlighter, it's such a gorgeous subtle glow. getting things in sets are such a great way to try out new products without fully committing. Thanks for the warning bout buying makeup! Im always wary when the deal seems too good to be true.

  10. There's definitely something to be said for travel sized mascara - I feel like I'm always throwing out half a tube of mascara because it starts to smell funny... and it feels wasteful! Thanks for linking up at Share the Wealth Sunday :)
