Good morning my insomniac sisters!
I have been out in the makeup world & have things to show you, but a sore throat is not playing nicely & I have to be ready for a cookie exchange by Sat.  So I will force myself to sip tea & watch "Young & Restless" today.  But I thought I would share at least one accomplishment for this week:
Now I have kept this a pink & off white colored tree for years but I can easily see me incorporating 2014's Radiant Orchid color in the design scheme for next year.  A local female newscaster mentioned she puts up at least 3 trees & has done up to 5!!! Do you decorate multiple trees?  Please share them - I always enjoy others inspiration.
There is nothing like the sight of the grandchildren when they first view the tree - their eyes widen & their mouths form 'oh wow' and my heart is content for another year.
I wish for you the same child-like happiness for now & next year.

  1. Beautiful tree. Only 1 tree for me but after putting up my tree this year with all of Christmas pasts very colorful ornaments I have decided to hunt for a more elegant and well me style for next year. The kids are grown and gone and no one but me seems to care for the "cheerios" and "macaroni" ornaments they made all those years ago so it's time to be me again....whatever that entails.
** Make-up question. My skin went from oily to dry---thank you Peri-Menopause- do you have any foundation recommendations? Also I would still like to use a pressed powder compact for touch ups but with dry skin I haven't had much success. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Missy, forgive me for being so long to respond-I am a daily migraineur, even after 4 brain surgeries, so many days are unpredictable.
I am using Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder in #04; it comes with a mirror & sponge applicator - I have tried every trick to get a photo to fit into this reply space & have had no luck so I will put one in the next blog note so you can see. I have very sensitive skin & I have had no problems with this prod. I seem to range from oily to dry & I have found using a primer is also helpful.

  2. Pretty tree, I'm in Italy and each year buy a live tree which never makes it. This year I don't think it will fit on our balcony. I don't know what to do with it. I put it in my bedroom just one, since the living room is my paint studio.
    Cheers
