Since it is a rainy day I am making tuna salad for lunch.  Always keep individual packs of tuna in the pantry in case of bad weather.  Tornado season is already happening in the South and if the electricity goes out you have something easy on hand.
Also buy or make trail mix to keep around - kids like it and no refrigeration required. When the weather is scary children need something familiar.

I really like argan oil/butters for dry skin.  I truly battle it all winter and most lotions do not help.  This travel size of body butter is convenient and has a delicate scent - it would not clash with perfume.

When I wash my hair but plan to stay home I still need a little lift for my straight hair.
Matrix Airy Builder does a good job for a casual look.  It gives a soft texture without stiffness.

This is a dry texture spray in a mousse form - so no white residue.

Bronze Goddess Summer Waves Salt Spray
 
I can only find this in Europe so EL needs to get this to the USA ~ I'm waiting .....

Refresh canned applesauce with cinnamon, cloves and/or allspice.  It gives a delicate extra flavor and it is good for you - it definitely encourages me to eat more fruit!
Especially since I had french toast for breakfast!

My gang loves chili and this was super easy and made on the stove top.

1/2 lb of ground meat cooked with small onion
1 can chili beans
1 small onion minced
1 can tomato sauce & 1 can petite diced tomatoes
1 can pinto beans (use whatever beans you like)
2tsp cumin
1TBS chili powder
2tsp oregano
1TBS Garlic powder &
1TBS Worcester sauce (I add more)
salt & pepper to taste
Cook all ingredients together & let simmer until thickened
I served this with garlic cheese bread &use sour cream & shredded cheese as my toppings.

I love these MAC eye shadows ~ Purple Times Nine

These are so my colors!  There was not a lot of fall out and the colors stayed true.  You could easily do a smokier eye look for night time.  I even bought a back up of this palette so I don't run out!

This is a good mascara - Lash Paradise  by L'Oreal

 The brush does a good job of getting mascara on every lash and is not goopy.

Comeback Sauce

Ingredients

• 1 cup mayonnaise
• 1/3 cup chili sauce
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 3 TBS brown mustard

This recipe is a grand Southern tradition and is wonderful with everything!  It is so good you will ' come back ' for more!!! (If you like thousand island dressing you will probably like this)
Mix everything together and refrigerate - it gets better every day!
*If you don't want to buy chili sauce use your favorite cocktail sauce - in the same amount.

Dinner is ready!

While out shopping, I found this bottle of Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum and scooped it up!
It was on sale which makes this a great buy!

Oriental/Spicy, Woody/Earthy/Elegant
I love florals and this certainly is but it is deeper than others like La Vie Est Belle ~ definitely going into the rotation!
It's the first of the month so it's time for the 'purple' shampoo!

Kendra Brightening Shampoo is wonderful to brighten and enhance blonde hair.  This was not an overly drying shampoo and has a nice scent.  I also like John Frieda's purple shampoo.

This adorable heart shaped egg was part of the batch I used for deviled eggs!

The ham & cheesy potato casserole in the oven ~ the table is set and waiting for the others to arrive!

Next time there will be more to report - the week has been long & exhausting.
