My Christmas look before the major cooking begins:

I am loving this full face palette from Bare Minerals - these are definitely my colors and will be perfect for upcoming spring.  Since I tend to have some oil on my eye lids (my derm states this is a good thing because it will stave off wrinkles!) I use a primer before adding eye shadow.  I really like Urban Decay's brand.
The colors from Left to Right: top: Presence, Graceful, Exhale, Finishing Powder, Golden Gate Matte
Bottom: Promise, Beautiful, Confident, Inner Beauty and Faux Tan Matte.
This will make a handy palette for travel esp in spring & summer because you will have everything you need in one place.

I am also thrilled to be trying Sephora Favorites Lash Stash.  There is a full size of YSL Baby Doll mascara and Estee Edit Edgiest double mascara.  The other brands include Smashbox, Nars, Too Faced, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay "Perversion", Tarte, Buxom and Benefit.
Such a great way to try 10 different mascaras!

The migraine from h!ll - aren't they all!!!!  At least the bright lights of the holidays are almost over.

  I got this set recently  during a sale and I am promising myself to be more consistent about using it!   I have tried this brand in the past with no reaction from my fussy skin.

I am also going to be more rigorous about doing simple things like having lemon water every morning - I need to more persistent about my intake of Vit C for health & wrinkles!

 Another product I am promising to be more pro-active about is StriVectin TL.

This product is a moisturizer that intends to firm and smooth the skin -
I use it every where: face, neck, chest and arms.  The box gives a run down on what the improvements might be after 4 & 8 weeks. It can't hurt to give it a try.  Once again, it is on me to be consistent!
 
 My sweet GS is getting this:  I bought one years ago when he was 2 and since he is going to be a Junior Curator at the local museum, I think the young ones will think it's cool  - and he is!
The Christmas menu is in full force and my cheesy potato casserole is a requirement.

My cranberry medley is popular and I keep some hidden back for me - for later!
Super simple: whole cranberries, TBsp brown sugar, mandarin oranges, pecans, cinnamon, vanilla & a splash of orange liqueur if you like.  Let it meld overnight - it is great with chicken as well as turkey.
 

  I think the day before Christmas eve is as busy as the big day!  I wanted to try a more soft pinkish lavender eye shadow with a darker crease so I am doing a trial run before-hand.  Where is a make up artist when you need one??!!!!!!!!!

My outfit needs to be comfy for a day of cooking & entertaining so I am going with something simple and certainly not binding!

 

There are sequins on the front - not too jazzy.  The top is from Ralph Lauren and the shoes I have had for several years but I never wear them outside -

 fancy "house" shoes as we call them in the South!
I am going with a simple silver omega & earrings which will pick up the sparkle from the top.
