Do you remember 100 yrs ago when we were in college and someone's aunt would send a big container of "Russian tea"?  The smell of this organic tea reminds me of that time:
Very fragrant and warming!
The grands were here so hot chocolate for them - they got 'surprises' because they made the honor roll.  Truly my life is simply spoiling them ~ I could not love them more.

I had Cover Girl Jewels eye shadow(r) so I wanted to try Maybelline's 24k Nudes.  Several of the jewel colors are not for me and most of the 24k are too dark except for use in the crease.
There is only 1 color (top left) that is any where near golden but some of the others can be used as highlighter for the brow
I thought I was not using enough of the darker colors in the crease but this day I was too heavy-handed - I was not happy with this look - not even the lip color! (which was bareMinerals Pop of Passion in Rose Passion - I prefer a 'berry' color) - of course a headache did not help!
I won't  buy these again - there are not enough use-able colors for me ~ as a rule, I don't re-purchase most cosmetics - there is always something new to try!

I found these bronzers from Physician's Formula (ok, I dug them back out since I have not used them!) and I am going to start using them - I could stand some color!  But the goldy dust on the left "City Glow" will have to come off - a girl can just do so much glitter!

I still love this fragrance from years ago ~ Coco by Chanel.
I have seen this on auction sites for lots of money (yes, even used!) but I have decided not to save mine but use it and enjoy it.  I find the current version does not smell the same as my 'classic' and I do like my version better.  I am not getting any younger so I am going to use what I love!
Do you change your perfume as Spring approaches?  I do tend to go lighter - not so heavily floral.

~ All items purchased by me unless otherwise noted ~

  11. I've been wanting to try those Maybelline nude shades but have yet to shell out the money for them. I realize they are not that expensive, but as a SAHM I don't wear shadow as often as I did before. Lol. Looking forward to your post on the bronzers. I've never used one yet. 12. As always I enjoyed reading your honest reviews. I prefer neutrals when it comes to eye shadows, and don't believe I would find much to wear in the Cover Girl case. I am currently using Maybeline's The Nudes and really like it. Thanks so much for linking up with Fabulous Friday!

  13. I like reading honest reviews of products. I am a more natural eyeshadow girl too. I love the nudes, creams and browns and have learned to not purchase eyeshadow pallettes that have other colors in them. I just don't use them.
