They have a little shine and do not dry my lips - they are almost always on sale so it's easy to try some different colors.


I am thinking good thoughts for all of you on the front lines of this virus - just as my son is.  There is someone in Radiology everyday sick and I stay in panic mode.  He has two small children and he worries he will carry the virus home.  I know you are worried for your loved ones and lets pray for the best.
I will say good night as I am at tears.

Ultra Repair Cream by First Aid Beauty is what I am slathering all over for my dry skin.  I have a place on  my leg with cut skin because I was itching so badly.  I have a prescription but it cannot be used everyday.  I am also using Neutrogena Sesame Oil when I get out of the shower - any other suggestions are appreciated.

These fragrances are so lovely - Black Tulip is a favorite but I use it sparingly.

I have had the flu for a month and just now feel like sitting at the computer.  I have no appetite and I wish everyone would stop trying to force me to eat.  I have some medicine that increases the appetite but my poor stomach can hardly tolerate anything.

These are 2 products I try to use every day:

Strivectin gives a smooth surface to the skin which allows any make up to adhere and blend nicely.  Both liquid foundation or powder go on smoothly and give a finished look.

CeraVe is sunscreen with SPF50 - definitely use it on the face, neck and back of the hands.  It is oil-free and contains ceramides & niacinamide - I really need to add one of these to some of the cars.

I found this again!!  I am going to use this finally:

I prefer matte shadows and this gives a nice choice esp if you are taking it on a trip. Too Faced makes good eye products.

I am trying to organize my velour jackets. It is so easy to dress them up or down and they are comfortable to wear all day.  Chronic pain people have to be aware what touches the skin.

 I have to get these colors organized - it's making me crazy!

We are having 'wintry' mix this weekend so hopefully I will get something accomplished.
Do you have any goals you want to get done before spring?

I am not sure what this is going to be but my creative Grands will find a use for it!  Boxes never go to waste at my house.

I am a fan of Laura Geller products and recently bought this lip gloss:

 The color is Raspberry Roast and it appears darker (using a flash) - it is not dark when applied.

This is not sticky and stayed in place for hours - really like this color!

Several weeks ago I bought Buxom Mascara and it is wonderful.  The brush provided good separation of the lashes and the construction allowed you to get every lash.  It lasted all day without significant fallout or smearing.

I have taken the Christmas stuff off the village table and am getting it ready for spring.  I have found some summer trees and have ordered them.  GD likes to play with these and is very careful.

Girl friend needs a hair cut!!  I plan for this event to happen on Thurs - my new stylist has been wonderful.  After several years and other hair stylists I finally found one that gave me back my original style.  I am not one to change a lot - when I like something I stay with it.

Sorry, no make up - just getting over a virus and don't have the where-withall to fix up.

I have had all I can stand of Pantone's Color of the Year - Coral.
So I went in search of the Spring collection =  Flame Scarlet & Saffron.
  If you like a patriotic theme this will be your year and it seems
  likely that coastal-inspired colors will be hot for the next few years.
 
                                                         


 

 But my colors are the last two - Pantone seems to give us some shade of these colors every year and I appreciate it. These are colors I enjoy and I don't want my clothing or decor to be dated.

Are any of these going to be your favorites?

I have to bring this product to your attention because it works!  L'Oreal Revitalift 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum is fragrance free and quickly plumps the skin so wrinkles are not so noticeable.  I have been using it on my neck and around the eyes before my moisturizer and I am very happy with it.  It is available at most drugstores and there are coupons to help you save money.  Definitely treat yourself!

With Christmas almost here, I am working on the menu (which I am not allowed to change, ever!)
My favorite side dish is my Cranberry Sauce with Mandarin Oranges & Pecans. Even my DIL has decided this is delicious.

I use whole cranberries (frankly the canned type is easier), cut up mandarin oranges, chopped pecans, 1TBS cinnamon, splash of vanilla, small sprinkling of cloves.  Mix together gently and refrigerate.
