It is time to clean the silver jewelry - I only do small batches but here we go:

I always have some of these pieces laying about for quick use to finish off an outfit.  I should do better and keep them in the armoire to stave off tarnish - it really helps.

Oh my stars I love Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer Crayon.  I got it in Fair and it is a perfect match.  It is so easy to blend without pulling the skin.  I have never found a concealer that works so perfectly!  What is your favorite?

My only child came up for his birthday and wanted to cook out so I made hamburgers & hot dogs and his favorite baked beans.  For DIL who will have a birthday the next week, I made tuna & macaroni salad.  We both prefer dill pickle relish - I just can't stand the sweet kind.

 This is the island in the kitchen in full use!!!

He knows I am going to let him take the banana bread home!

 Classic Tuna & Macaroni Salad - very Southern!

2 cans tuna fish in water

1/2 cup finely diced red onion

1/4 cup finely diced celery (about 2 stalks)

1/2 cup dill pickle relish

1 to 2 cups mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon sea salt, to taste

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder is a beautiful bronzer but the price difference is not substantial at various retailers.
Walmart has it for $53.00 and it is only $54.00 at Nordstrom & Sephora.  I was surprised that there was not more of a discount.  At least with the beauty stores you get samples & points.
I find many bronzers are too dark for my skin and it is a hunt to find the right one.
Right now I am using Laura Geller, Physician's Formula & Estee Lauder.

Of course I dropped one!  At least it wasn't an expensive one.

My hair has grown and I am ready for it to be cut - I will start with a bob and hopefully be brave and put layers back into my style.  I miss my stylist!

The new stylist I tried cut my hair in a 'lob' and I am very happy with it- it has a few layers and is shorter in the back.  I will go back to her in all likely hood.  Of course it did not hurt that she said I don't look my age - that is an extra tip right there!  And yes, this is my natural color - this is what mother nature gave me after breast cancer.

I use this as my finishing spray - which is almost empty.  I guess I should use the 20% off at Ulta to get another can - Kenra Shine Spray - I love it!

Bronze Goddess Shimmering Oil Spray for Hair & Body
This is wonderful for your skin.  It is moisturizing and gives a soft sheen to the skin.  I spray it on my hands and run it thru my hair so there is no concentration on one spot.

Here we are facing half a year gone - in a few weeks the craft stores will have the Halloween stuff in and I am just not ready for such hot weather - 95' is too much!

I have noticed bloggers are sharing some of their favorite pieces for spring & summer and they are things I like also.  Lilac seems to be popular and python which is one of my favorite handbags = my Gucci Python bag - ok, I like it soooo much I don't use it.  How crazy is that??!!!

What are some of your favorite summer bags?

My only child (who is bringing a car load of people to Easter lunch) wanted to know if I was making tea ~ and by this, we mean only sweet tea.  I was almost at a loss for words - as if this child ever sat down at my table without a fresh pitcher of tea.  Apparently, he was subtly asking me to teach his wife.
Yes we all have our own way but it is not rocket science.
Now I use family size tea bags for a crowd and I don't care whether it is Lipton or Luzianne (whatever is on sale).  I boil my water in a 4qt Revere wear stainless steel pot and have already added a cup of sugar (and a pinch!).  Remove from the heat and add tea bags - now begin watching the time for 12-15 mins.  Remove the bags and have a cup of hot tea ~ then enjoy it over ice thru lunch.  I can't have caffeine during the rest of the day because I am an insomniac and can't sleep. But up until 11:00am I am full-on tea drinker!

asked how some of us prep our skin for spring & summer.  It does take some work because I was not careful with my skin as a teenager.  Now at 65 it shows!!!  She particularly wanted to know how we address issues with our legs but I use the same products and exfoliation for all over my body.

This spray makes it easy to get behind the arms & legs and has no scent.

I tried Sun Drops - self tanner and anti-aging serum but it did not work for me.

 I added a couple of drops to my moisturizer and it was just too 'orangey' for my personal taste.

This was over $20 so it had to go back.  Tell us what is your favorite self-tanner.  I will try anything once!

I recently got an email that Walmart is going to carry premium brands of make-up including Clinique, Bare Minerals and Lancome.  I suspect some of these will be online only but that's ok if the price is right.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess is one of my favorite summer scents.

So when I saw the Exfoliating Body Cleanser I knew it had to come home with me (oh, ok, I bought 2!!)

The scent is exactly like the perfume so you have fragrance every time you shower.  I just may have to go back for more!!!

Ulta had Kenra products on sale and these are some I keep around all the time.

Someone mentioned to me that Ulta will have one of their 20% off everything sales in April ~ so in preparation I have been going thru some of my favorite things to re-order.

I really like No7 products but I am not as consistent as I should be.  There is good science behind the products and my sensitive skin likes these items.
