It is not too early to think about gift ideas that are fun to make and have on hand, just in case - it's about 80 days to Christmas!  Here is a nice gift for your friends:
These glass pieces are from a dollar store and are cemented together.  It's a pretty way to display jewelry and so quick to make - you could also add a doily on the plate for a girly look.  Place in a gift bag and you are set to go!

This little bronzer is a convenient way to give some color to my cheeks.
Lorac TANtalizer gives a matte finish without being too dark.  I like this handy size - perfect for travel and touch-ups.

I have decided I am done with the leopard look:
I know it is still popular but I am starting to find it dated.
But while looking for my leopard shoes I found these which I so love!
I think I also bought these in black - the brocade look is so pretty and can be worn casual or dressy.
For me, mules are a great way to change up a look from day to night and are very comfortable ~ currently my favorite style of shoe.

Little GD may be an artist in the making - she drew her favorite pony free-hand on her easel:
I keep a variety of crayons & coloring pencils available all the time.  This is the 'art gallery' in the great room to showcase their work.

This is short as my head is unhappy - don't know why as the weather has been beautiful here on the mountain.  Of course migraines do not need a reason to torture you!
Be well my dears and "Hello" to my new followers - it is wonderful to meet new people.

I could not resist another palette from the Maybelline The City Mini Palette x Shayla:
I love these colors!  The mauves look great together and the light gold highlighter is nice for under the brow.

No 7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Palette in Smoky - these are such beauties!  8 shadows and a double-ended brush & mirror.  They are very pigmented so you don't have to keep layering - my sensitive eyes are very happy!

I will probably pick up another!

My sweet grands come this weekend - we are going to make pumpkin raisin bread and I hope time does not go by too fast.
Be well.

I have been on a MAC binge lately and got these gorgeous eye shadows with fall colors:
A Glimmer of Gold
These will be so nice for fall & winter.

Revolution makeup has nice products that are not expensive.
This palette of concealers is smooth & creamy - easy to apply and have various shades from light to dark.  You can use these as concealers and contours - I use disposable foam brushes to apply.
Many times these are on sale so I stock up.

No7 Airbrush Away Radiance Boosting Primer is a nice light diffusing primer that truly gives a smooth finished look to the face.  I don't normally use primer but this is wonderful and can give a natural look if you did not want to do a full-on face.  It feels soft as silk when applied - I definitely would buy this again.

I must confess I have had this lovely bag for a while and have never used it.  In my defense there were years that I was recouping from brain surgery so switching out purses was not high on my to-do list!
Chanel Timeless Classic Tote
From the Cruise 2016 Collection. Black quilted leather Chanel Timeless Classic tote with gold-tone hardware, dual chain-link and leather shoulder straps:
I truly believe we should use our pretty things - don't save them for some future time!

I love this type of Italian bread.  It is perfect for french toast, sub sandwiches and as the base of a meal such as hot roast beef with gravy.  And the grands are happy to have it with just butter as a quick snack!

When there is a sale on MAC, I am there!
MAC A Medley of Mauves - these are sooooo my colors (so I bought 2)!

MAC Cosmetics Tendertalk Lip Balm ~ the color is so sheer I swiped some on a white napkin (it took 20 shots to get this 1 photo!).  This felt light on my lips and was not sticky or goopy.  You can easily put your favorite color of lip gloss over this - so glad I bought it for under $10.

I have started using Algenist products as there is science behind the brand. And since this item was less than the $70 retail, it was a good value with 2oz of product.
                                               Algenist Optical Illuminating Moisturizer
I use this under the eye and it does give a soft blurring effect - it does not stay this white/pinkish color - it blends nicely and it moisturizes without being shiny.  No fragrance.

Time for a nice pitcher of sangria - so many good fruits now to put in a light red wine:
I enjoy using apples, pears & grapes - whatever is in the kitchen.  You can also use sparkling water if you like fizz.

I love the fall wreath on my mahogany door:
Have you started decorating?  I just love this time of year!

Hi Beauties!
I am currently in a terrible bout with migraines but I will be back in a few days
with some lovely items that have recently arrived.  I hope you are having a wonderful
summer.  Little GS goes to school on Monday which is sad for me.  But I also see it
as my 'official' start of fall - I love decorating for this time of year. Have you started?
Have a great weekend and we will talk soon.

As a free birthday gift, I received a travel size of Lancome's new mascara, Monsieur Big - it is supposed to have superior volume and all day wear.  I generally like Lancome's products and this one is alright.  The brush is big so you can get most of the lashes in one swipe.  There is not a lot of product inside but enough to give it a try for a couple of times and it is drier than many of their other products.  Have you tried it?

Face self - tanner is a product that I am willing to spend extra $$$ on if it has good-for-you ingredients - especially anti-aging.  St. Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Anti-Ageing Multi-Action Face Tanner was very moisturizing and did a nice job giving the face & neck a light tan.  There was a little bit of scent but dissipated.  I have not used it long enough to see anti-aging results but for the price of $20 -$30 for 1.6oz I will not re-purchase.
NKD SKN is a daily moisturizing tanner that is more reasonably priced and I had good results.  No scent and very gradual build up of color which was natural looking.  If your eye brows are lighter than you prefer, put a little tanner on them.

I went looking for this palette.........
and found these also!  Poor little neglected prettys - I guess I should confess I have not used any of these!  I don't know why - I like Tarte products!  Are you a "collector"?

Macy's had a shoe sale so I treated myself - afterall, it's my birthday 'month' !!!
*The shoes are black - the lighter exposure shows the detail better.
And since I liked these so well ........ I also ordered the same shoe in Fawn!
I love everything about these ~ the detail, heel height and comfortable!  I ordered these online (sight unseen) and got great shoes that I don't have to return ~ a rare event!
Sorry - I'm too 'migrainey' to get dressed and display the shoes on - I'm just happy they arrived - they were out of stock at the various local Macy's.
~ If I really love something, I typically buy it in all available colors - if I don't I will just be sorry a week from now!
These shoes are made with a suede-like material so I am going to treat them with fabric protector - do you do this with new shoes?

These individual packs of tuna & salmon are so handy to have in the pantry.  The cost is about $1 each and come in a variety of favors.  I like to put these in salads and have a complete meal for my lunch.  These will be great to have around when winter comes and snow keeps me stuck inside.

As another school year begins, please remember to help the teachers any way you can.  Most of  them spend their own money to provide the materials children need.  An extra pack of crayons or pencils goes a long way in the classroom - every little bit helps and is truly appreciated.
